The role

As Head of Connected Solutions & IoT, you will lead a large multidisciplinary organisation through managers across Europe. Your task is to create clear ownership, a common technology roadmap and an organisation that can deliver connected products and services across teams and locations.

The role spans technology, organisation and business value. You will create direction across connected products, embedded systems, connectivity, platforms and data, while ensuring that technical choices support customer and business needs. You will work closely with leaders in R&D, Product Management, Supply and other parts of the organisation.

The role includes:

  • Shape and implement the connected solutions and IoT technology strategy and roadmap, and bring distributed resources together around common priorities, architecture and ways of working.
  • Lead, support and develop managers and teams, creating clear ownership across R&D, products, platforms, data and the wider business.
  • Guide architectural choices, dependencies, cybersecurity considerations and technical trade-offs, connecting technology with customer value.
  • Identify capability gaps, develop the organisation for future needs and represent TMHE’s connected solutions direction internally and externally.
  • Ensure strong systems engineering practices across connected products, embedded systems, connectivity, software, cloud platforms and data services.
  • Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, verification and validation practices across the connected solutions and IoT portfolio, including functional safety where relevant to connected product functions.
